SWAREZ - Modern Contemporary Painter and Artist

I am a artist (well that's a relief) who will paint for anyone, at any location and at any time. Most of my output gets snapped up by a growing number of private clients and collectors who really enjoy what I do. They are the smart cookies who know an investment when they see it. In between commissions I paint for the site,  photograph as many as time will allow and upload them for you to view or buy as originals and limited edition prints (selected works only). For further information on buying originals and prints please see the How to buy Modern Art page.

I don't have any formal art training, and I've never studied technique or composition from anyone. Whatever comes out onto the canvas comes straight from my imagination. I'm fascinated by form, shape and colour and despite being diagnosed BiPolar I'm actually a very warm and fluffy chap and, if I'm honest, I began to paint as a kind of therapy but people saw what I was doing and liked it and it's snowballed into my business from there really. I have my Karate Instructors to thank for introducing me to paint and canvas. From that day on life was never the same again - and for that I am eternally grateful.

Rest assured that the pictures you see of my paintings are of the actual painting. I've seen lots of art websites that show a decent painting then tell you that the one you're actually buying may look slightly different. Always read the small print. I believe in one-off, original art paintings, created with toil, sweat and imagination. Originals are never replicated.

What you see is what you get

SWAREZ - Abstract Contemporary Painter and Artist

I am of the strong opinion that ninety percent of the art websites you visit in your quest to find that great piece of art will be selling unimaginative, dreary commercial crap - and asking stupid money for them too. Take a moment to read an explanation or two on some of my paintings. I don't use flowery words or go into some philosophical whimsy - I just explain what's going on, why I painted it and what you can get from looking at it. I like it when someone takes the time to explain what's going on with things. I've tried to make buying art an enjoyable and hassle free experience. I love what I do and I hope that you'll get a feel for that as you look at some of my work.

Like or dislike my art, at least most of my paintings look different from each other, and were  not all created on the same day using the same paints, like some I could mention. I would hate to get pigeon holed into one particular style or allow myself to fall victim to market forces; I just can't grasp the concept of having to paint for mass market appeal. I understand that my work isn't easily accessible and can take some digesting but I stay true to my roots and passions and if that means I never sell any then so be it. Let's keep a sense of perspective here, I paint what I want to paint because that means I make a good piece, whether it appeals or not. I get random mail from people who visit my site and just tell me what they think - isn't that brilliant? We are all art critics aren't we because it's all subjective?

Be bold, be brave and let your heart run free. Don't stop to think about your soft furnishings, just let the painting wash over you. Go on - buy one then re-decorate around it if you have to. There will come a day when your wise purchase will yield a value far in excess of its future financial potential. If life is a rollercoaster then come and sit next to me and hold on tight! (oh, and bring some cake too...)
