Absolutely nothing. In fact I paint without the desire to create statements – only reactions. There is always a selection of unusual and interesting pieces in here – many with contrasting forms and varying levels of figuration. This genre has more to do with stretching the boundaries of what is acceptable and developing new styles and forms. My contemporary art is not groundbreaking but it can be challenging. This is a good thing, it means we don’t stand still letting the grass grow under our feet. Reaction – that’s what it’s all about for me
