Glance across cascading waterfall-like splashes; deep, thick ravines of paint that ebb and flow; moving tides of colour that caress every curve; organic elements of green placed carefully within contrasting blues; accented whites that dance freely across the canvas… the list goes on. Perhaps clicking on the close up images will reveal why this painting works on so many levels and from every distance you view it from. Revealing itself as you get closer and closer yet remaining composed and delicate wherever you stand and look at it.
Like with so many of my paintings I want them to work close up as well as far away; it’s one of the core principles of my oeuvre. I really can’t tell you how beautiful this looks until you see it for yourself (and I don’t intent for that to be a boast). No need for heaviness here; no black or oppressive colours – just a relaxing and memorable flight to a place in your head where all the good things are… a place you can return to whenever you look at this painting.
Come Fly With Me is for sale and is painted in just three shades (plus a tiny drop of red) of industrial enamels blended to my own formula. He measures 160cm x 140cm by 38 mm deep. He was painted onto a flat piece of triple primed Belgian canvas then hand stretched by me over a solid kiln-dried hardwood frame and stapled on the reverse. This piece of contemporary art is ready to hang. I’ll even bring him to you and hang it personally – like having an art gallery in your home. Stop sitting on the fence all your life and get me to come see you with a selection of pieces that will blow your mind…
A certificate of authenticity will be provided with this original painting.
