Out of the three good spaces I paint from it is this one I have the most fun in. The light is great and the ceiling is high. OK so there is a hole in the roof where the pigeons seem to come and go through and there is zero ventilation (except for the pigeon hole) but I have space to move and room to breath. This is where the majority of my work gets done, including splash works and all paintings up to 3 metres. In the quick video (taken on my iPhone again so apologies for the quality) you can see some new works in progress on the floor – the place where I am at my best for painting. Out of all the things I have in there it is perhaps the sofa I am most grateful for, especially when I need to crash and burn, which happens often.
