You can hire me to come to your School, College or University and take groups of students (up to 45) on a whirlwind day of fun, learning and in many cases, self-discovery.

It’s rare these days to find any artist who is willing to even come and teach students, especially in large numbers but I relish it – and my genres of art are totally suited to all who can hold a paint can.

The day is loosely structured but would normally comprise of a live demo and talk-through by me; often resulting in big pieces of canvas getting annihilated with all kinds of paints and applicators.

Lots of active participation and a great masterclass in the art of letting go. Afternoons are when students get to do it for real – often producing the most incredible pieces of modern art; all demonstrating the great things about the genre – freedom, form, expression and movement. De-briefing on what they have created and the journey they have taken is possibly the best bit of the day – and they get their own work to count towards any final exam results if so desired.

The best thing about my Experience days though is the underlying notion that everyone can do this, no matter who they are or their backgrounds – the canvas and boards we use treat everyone the same. I have seen the most extraordinary pieces of art produced – some that even make staff want to buy them!
