The development of my new look site is almost complete after a fortnight of constant coding. The basic framework was already there but I decided that wasn’t enough so I have had to focus hard on the best way to offer a comprehensive and easy way to navigate through the site. Not an easy task I assure you. Fortunately I know a good web guy who is a bomb at SEO stuff – one of the reasons why I feature quite well on Google searches in such a short period of time. One of the main pieces of feedback I got was to include a breadcrumb trail so that you can go back to the root or any part of the trail from the page that you are on. I am conscious that you should be able to get to any page on the site from any page on the site – if that makes sense? The old look site has done me well for a year or so – it was at the limit of what I could get done at the time. Now I have easy, customizable navigation, an integrated sidebar, better presentation and layout and a cleaner, crisper feel to the pages.
