Commission Me
Commission me to paint for you at home or your place of work. Big and small welcomed.

paint on canvas

There’s only one proper way to get that piece of art you really want and that’s to commission someone to paint it for you.

This has so many benefits – most obviously that of control. You choose how big, colours, patterns, themes etc… until you get to a point that works for you. I have tried to simplify the process and make it as trouble free as possible (which it actually is). It doesn’t even have to be for you – Anniversaries, Birthdays and Special Occasions can all be celebrated with a painting. I can think of nothing more personal to show that you care. No matter what style of art suits you from Modern to Contemporary to Abstract – I can pretty much give you what you want. I can paint any size, from large to small and in any colours you can think of.

Drop me a mail – without obligation – and tell me what you are interested in. The easiest way for me to understand what you want is to come and visit you and more importantly – see the space you want to fill.

Your home visit is FREE and without obligation

That’s right,  free. This kind of thing can’t be done properly with emails and photographs. It’s good to meet you in person and have a chinwag about exactly what you want. Provide me with tea and cake and I’ll be happy. If you decide that getting a commission done by me is NOT for you then no-one has lost out and we’ll call it a day. However, this is as likely as hell freezing over so when you’ve decided that you want to take the plunge and get me painting for you we agree a price (relax, it doesn’t usually cost any more than something similar out of the gallery) and you pay 25% there and then with the balance upon completion (delivery). Eighty percent of my work is made up of private commissions.

As long as I have loose ideas on the colours you want and how big it should be I have enough to go away and paint. Bear in mind that the more you constrain the criteria the less you get of me in the painting – something you may want to bear in mind before hitting the send button on your email. Art is about expressing yourself and being free to do what you want to do. If you like my work enough to want to buy into that then consider that last statement carefully. I love painting commissions as I get the chance to really do something fantastic every time – meaning that I can give someone a piece they have always wanted, it doesn’t get much better than that.

Where are the photos of all the commissions you’ve done then?

Good question. I am of the opinion that private commissions should remain that way so I don’t actively promote them on the site. After all, it’s a very personal statement and I have a moral issue with broadcasting that to anyone who wants to see it. However, I do request the use of some images of the commissions I have done from time to time just to give visitors the chance to see what I do. I would always ask permission from you before I do that.
