Sometimes I struggle to accurately convey some of the processes and reasons behind the art I produce. With Guido I have that problem. Mostly because it was such a pig to paint. There is so much detail and action in quite a smallish space that I can only really remember spending ages on some of the detailing which you can see in the photos. As you step away from the painting I feel as if it reminds me of a fireworks display with the red accents flying off into the sky. Maybe it’s just me I don’t know? Anyway, Guido measure 101cm x 76cm and is 38mm deep. He is painted onto a gallery grade triple primed canvas.
