I am not a Gallery so I don’t have gallery overheads and commissions. I ONLY SELL DIRECT which is one reason why my prices reflect an honest and true value of the work. I sell domestically and internationally and have private collections all over the world but I don’t milk it. I keep things nice and simple, just like my philosophy – keep on painting and always offer something fresh at a fair price. So much art today is stuffy, pretentious and safe. Perhaps the greatest shock about modern and contemporary art movements is that there is no shock anymore? Some of mine do and some of mine don’t. That’s the great thing about doing this – no day ever produces the same type of thing.
What I’m trying to prove is that you don’t need to hide behind fabricated stories or subconscious turmoil – I carry no baggage with my craft – I only paint because I love it and I hope I bring that through in the varied types of work I produce. Art should be about getting closer to the artist and their craft, not getting ripped off in the process.
