Hi there!
Let me introduce myself
My name is Ed; thanks for dropping by
My name is Ed; thanks for dropping by
I’m a UK artist (based in Gloucestershire) selling my original art, and doing commissions, all over the world. I hand deliver all of my art in the UK (because I believe in personal service); I also ship to 42 other countries.
Swarez isn’t my real name but it’s a nickname that seemed to fit really well many years ago so I kept it. I have NO art training and am 100% self-taught.
Oh, and just 10 short years ago I was delivering parcels for a living. Just goes to show what you can do with a small idea and big dreams. Learn about my back story.
I create one-off original paintings; lovingly crafted, exquisitely detailed and filled with an honesty rarely seen in today’s disposable marketplace. Originals are never replicated and I don’t do prints of anything. What you see is exactly what you get. Every paint stroke, every photograph and every last bit of this website is done by me.
Thankfully now though I employ the services of my best friend Adrian who works alongside me taking care of material technologies, quality control and installation logistics. I still make the tea though.
I work very hard. Every day in fact. You cannot achieve something great if you sit on your arse all day waiting for it to happen. This is the reason I am here. I found the one thing I am good at and my reputation is growing rapidly because of it.
My energy and determination is relentless and I never settle for second best. When you buy into my art you get the whole experience, not some corporate dick worrying about his commission.
I’m doing things differently. I built my own art gallery with my own bare hands and it only has my art hanging in it. The space is brilliant; please come visit when you’re over this way next.
Galleries, critics and the media have created an art purchasing standard that is elitist, oppressive and full of idiots trying to rip you off wherever they can. I’m challenging that by removing the need to show with a gallery and the need to rely on anyone but myself.
Many art websites or galleries you visit will be selling unimaginative, dreary commercial rubbish. Take a moment to read an explanation or two on some of my paintings. I don’t use flowery words or go into some deep conceptual hole – I just explain what’s going on, why I painted it and what you can get from looking at it.
Your journey into buying art should be an enjoyable one and hassle free. The way I do things gives you just that – something unforgettable. I don’t care for rules and conformity; instead I just do what I want to do. Freedom is a precious thing.
Falling victim to fads and fashions or being pigeon holed into one particular style is not something that ever appears on my radar; I just can’t grasp the concept of having to paint for mass market appeal so I don’t. My love of colour is evident in all my pieces, as is the ability to create and control shapes and forms into spectacular finished pieces.
You want something that celebrates your individuality? Great – drop me a mail and let’s celebrate that together. If I still haven’t convinced you then try these 10 reasons to buy my work and see if you feel any different. And if you don’t you can laways sign up to my newsletter and be in with a chance of wining an original painting.
Be bold, be brave and let your heart run free. You work tirelessly for the things you want in life; so don’t compromise with your art. Take a stand, put a stake in the ground and phone me now.
Don’t stop to think about your soft furnishings, just let the painting wash over you then re-decorate around it if you have to. I do some pretty extraordinary things with paint and canvas – drop me a line and tell me what you really, really want in your life. Bland is what your neighbours do.
There will come a day when your wise purchase will yield a value far in excess of its future financial potential. I am not deep, tempestuous or filled with angst, I just love to paint, plain and simple.
Take a video view of my paint studio and gallery or find out about my specially made paints and the exhaustive processes I go through with each painting.
My best friend of 20 years. We’ve been through a lot since he came to work in the business.
His skills in figuring things out and applying them to practical solutions is extraordinary. No matter what I need he’s able to come up with an answer. Chances are that if you visit the Gallery or find us in your home he’ll be there.
It’s a rare thing finding someone who is as passionate about what you do and even rarer for that be someone you care about. But somehow it fits into place and we have an unparalleled dynamic that suits what we do very well. I am enormously proud of him (but don’t tell him as he’ll get a swell-head!)
His attention to detail verges on obsessive, which in my line of work is brilliant. So to is his commitment and desire to bring the finest quality original art into your home. If his qualities as a human being could be bottled and sold I could have retired long ago.
“The impossible comes as standard but if you want miracles I’ll need a couple of hours!”
