So why buy art from me?
Here’s 10 great reasons why buying into my art is a really good idea
Deal with me direct – not some faceless gallery
I am a real person. I am not mysterious or aloof. When you buy into the Swarez ownership experience you get so much more than a sales invoice and a business card. You can mail me (I answer everyone personally), you can ring me or you can call in at the studio for a chat.
Modern art is for everyone and I believe access to the artist goes with that. Don’t pay international gallery prices with obscene commissions. There is always another way. This is my way and it’s the way forward.
2I bring the art to you, not the other way round
Forget walking round galleries and welcome in a new change. I will bring any piece of art to your home or living space – guaranteed. There are no hidden catches and no contracts. My service is a bespoke one and whilst that doesn’t come cheap I like to think that it’s the finest and most complete original art buying proposition available anywhere today.
I’ve taken years to perfect this in order to take the worry and stress out of buying an owning a piece of modern art. No bullying tactics, no pressure and no hard sell. Just honest old-fashioned service. If you like something you can buy it; if you don’t I’ll go home. Simple as that really.
3Each work of art is original and unique
There’s something about owning an original artwork that’s not easily put into words. You can choose to buy Limited Edition prints of other people’s work but nothing compares to owning the original. When you buy a piece of art from me you are the only person in the world who will ever have it. They will not be replicated and they will not be turned into prints. You won’t get more exclusive than that.
4You can’t buy a Swarez anywhere else
No middleman will get hold of my work, no gallery will ever be allowed to display it (despite requests) and no greedy opportunists will be tolerated. You can only buy through me (via this website). That’s it. I take great pleasure in telling the trouser-grabbers and hangers-on to fuck off on a regular basis.
5There’s always something new going on
I work constantly so there are always new paintings coming onto the site. I also sell well too so it’s best not to leave it too long in deciding whether to buy. Visit one day then come back another and the chances are that there’s something else different to look at. Sure I go through phases but my creativity is always limited… I have no idea why or how; it just is. That said demand always outstrips supply. There are only so many paintings I will ever paint in a year; 50% of which are commissioned.
6I only use the best materials
I only work with triple primed Belgian and Italian canvas and kiln dried softwood frames. I hand cut, hand stretch and hand staple all the paintings I create. Paints are the best and most dense enamels I can buy (which I have made specially for me) and all other mediums are carefully sourced from top manufacturers. What I am doing right now is, to the best of my knowledge, unique. No other artist is using the materials I use or understands how I do what I do. I like being an alchemist as well as an artist.
7I am not stuck in one style or genre
I paint with complete freedom. I spend hours thinking, scribbling and observing shapes, forms and colours in an attempt to create new and different paintings.
As such my styles (if you can call it that) are constantly changing. You want circles? I do those; you want splash and drip? I do that too – in fact there’s not much I haven’t had a go at (well, except portraits – I really suck at those).
8My business grows whilst others decline
Artists everywhere struggle to make ends meet. Global economics are shifting demand in ways we can’t predict. However, I don’t have that problem. I understand my market, I price with value and quality in mind and (most importantly) I create art that people want to own.
My work is becoming more and more widespread across the world – join me; be part of the revolution. I look after you when you become a client. You get your art delivered by hand and hung by me, no matter where you live in the world*. Personal service; can’t beat it.
9I will give you your money back if you are not satisfied
If you really hate what you’ve just bought I will refund your money in full. So what have you got to lose? In just a few days you could have one of my paintings hanging in your space with absolutely NO hassle. I make everything very painless and easy. (Galleries – take note). 10My art is appreciating in value
The talk of future values can be a vulgar one but the bare fact is that as more and more people buy my paintings the more they are becoming sought after. My list of commissions is so big I would class it as a waiting list – no joke! Supply and demand will dictate the rest. Now is THE time to buy. Now is the time to invest in your own future.
Or you could just buy it because you love it? That would make a whole lot of sense.
