A long orange and black fluid contemporary painting
How much fun is this? Reminds me of melting rusty metals pouting through the canvas surface or maybe the surface of Jupiter. Whatever it stirs in you it’s certain that this abstract fluid painting is a highly individual and unusual one.
It’s definitely a painting of two halves – even though they share the same palette of colour. On one had it’s mystic and ethereal and on the other it’s flowing and profound. Yet despite the contrasts it’s a very soothing and engaging artwork. Maybe it’s because of the constant motion that carries you… I’ll have a think about that one.
I’ve stared at if for hours since finishing him; very often letting my eyes simply follow the bends and curves as they melt away in a seemingly endless array of patterns and shapes. That appeals to me very much – letting the organic forms take you over for a while.
It’s hard to really categorize a painting like this as I have never really attempted anything like it before. All I know is that whatever you are a fan of – be it orange, rusty metal, melting things, shiny things or a mixture of all of them – this piece of original contemporary art is one you can’t ignore in a hurry no matter what your reaction is to it.
