Delicate and light
Jamboree 2 is a small multi coloured abstract painting set inside a metal frame and finished with a black mount. It is created with my trademark enamel paints and uses the same canvas as all my larger original artworks.
I have really cut back on the use of white in this one; I’m relying on a warm mushroom colour to form the underpinnings. There are a wide variety of paint colours used here but the dominant one is purple. My choice for this was a deep, rich tone with hints of burgundy and blue running through it. I have further picked out those colours in other parts of the painting so that I can help bring all the critical elements together.
The art work is finished with a 2mm mount that’s set inside a laser-cut aluminium frame. This gets covered with a Plexiglass (acrylic) front (a high quality PVC alternative to glass). This can be removed if you wish.
