Grace Under Fire
This magnificent painting was created in a very unusual way. Part of the technique for applying the paint was to let it form over a spheroid shape and allow the paint to drip off and form into rivers underneath. Once that basic structure was established the paint was then moved by using a wooden tongue depressor to form some more of the shapes you see. Finally, the use of some specially selected chemicals paved the way for the remaining effects.
It stands as a unique painting among all my other originals in that i have only every used this drip technique on this painting. Pretty cool right!
The painting measures 90cm x 90cm.
The art work was hand stretched around a seasoned timber frame so that the painting goes all the way round the edges. It has a wonderful texture thanks to the way the paint layers are built up and it comes with full certification.
