Paradise Found is a spin painting from my collection of small radial spin art.
Black and blue can be some quite harsh colours if not used carefully. They can be cold and heavy and although I love them I find they are a bit difficult to work with.
However, when used with a little warmth and a dash of serenity it’s surprising what you can achieve. With this painting I desired earthy and natural feel; an echo to Mother Nature if you like.
So bringing in a more natural palette – reminiscent of rocks, skies, plants and sunlight – has resulted in an artwork with a very strong heart and an authentic voice. I also popped in some metallic gold too which has given a really nice glow to to the painting; it feels a bit like an aura in places. Nice!
This painting is full of subtle details; the background is actually two shades of blue with an inner halo of white that’s spun out to meet it. Then there’s the progressions of paint that move inwards, each building upon themselves until you reach the middle. A little fine blending and careful placement of that orange tops off a very grounded artwork that can pretty much find a home anywhere.
This painting is shipped ready to hang and, although I prefer it hung like a diamond you can hang it anyway you like. Worldwide shipping is available – costs are calculated at the checkout before you decide to buy. Any problems, drop me a mail.
