Remember is a spin painting from my collection of small radial spin art.
If I was going t pick a favourite painting from this series then this would probably be it. Giving the reasons would be far too tedious to read so I will refrain from that; so let’s just say that somewhere in my brain a connection has been made and something has gone click. I am seriously tempted to keep this one for myself.
The few that have seen it have told me it reminds them of fallen soldiers and the act of remembrance. It’s a poignant thought and one i felt I should honour.
To be honest though there’s no reason or inspiration behind it; it’s existence is purely down to the way I question tings in my head. There are always far too many ‘what if’s’ floating around my brain and never enough ‘oh I see’s’ to go around. So that means I have to constantly innovate and experiment.
And although there are a few references to the use of a spinning force the vast majority of the paint applications don’t look like they were created on a fast rotating table. But then I am constantly questioning every aspect of the process to find alternative ways of doing things. Techniques I can document and trial with other combinations of paints, materials and conditions.
I just don’t think you can go wrong with these colors and the details are eye watering. I regard it as my best radial spin work to date.
This painting is shipped ready to hang and, although I prefer it hung like a diamond you can hang it anyway you like. Worldwide shipping is available – costs are calculated at the checkout before you decide to buy. Any problems, drop me a mail.
