Those Were The Days is a spin painting from my collection of small radial spin art.
In this painting I’ve gone a bit retro in my approach. Perhaps it’s the colour combinations or the dissolved circles that make me think of life in the Seventies? Whatever the influence it certainly fits the brief of creating a painting that’s a bit more ‘spaced-out’ than most of my other creations.
I’m desperate to keep my spin art fresh and different. I don’t want to fall in to the trap of repeating the same old things that everyone else does or regurgitating the same principles time after time.
My quest for originality means a lot of experiments and a lot of questions asked. With that in mind I think the colours of purple and Piaggio green form a great foundation on which to go crazy. What you have then is a painting made up of a series of radial patterns that have been partly dissolved and partly maintained.
This painting is shipped ready to hang and, although I prefer it hung like a diamond you can hang it anyway you like. Worldwide shipping is available – costs are calculated at the checkout before you decide to buy. Any problems, drop me a mail.
